  • Lorandy

Lorandy is a manicurist and nail artist living and working in Paris.

Known for his versatility, a knack for colour and textures, the Frenchman – by way of Martinique – has built up an enviable client list, becoming one of the most sought-after beauty artists in the capital.

Beginning his career at the tender age of 19, Lorandy’s precociousness, wit and skill at acrylic sculpting, nail art and the French manicure, quickly earned him the nickname, “The little genie of nails”.

Now almost 20 years later, “the little genie” has grown up, boasting a portfolio that befits his diverse roster and creative exploits. Moving fluidly between projects for big-name industry giants and millennial influencers alike, Lorandy’s adaptability, ease and skill add to his renown.

In the rarefied and impenetrable luxury, jewellery and beauty markets, behemoths Cartier, Chopard, Tissot, Boucheron, Baccarat, Lancôme, Sephora and Clarins figure among his most esteemed clients.

An ever-growing international publications list includes: 7 editions of Vogue, 3 editions of Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour, 4 editions of Elle, 2 editions of Vanity Fair and Madame Figaro; as well as regular turns for the very exclusive Dior Magazine – his most recent being a Giorgio Armani special shot by French lenswoman Sarah Moon.

His photographic collaborations include editorials with rising stars such as Ben Hassett, Karim Sadli, Ward Ivan Rafik, Txema Yeste; legends like Ellen von Unwerth, Peter Lindbergh, the duo Mert and Marcus, Annie Leibovitz, David Sims, Patrick Demarchelier and Mario Testino, with whom he shares two US Vogue covers – the most notable being the March 2011 issue featuring Lady Gaga.

No stranger to reinvention, Lorandy raised his profile anew this past year with two stellar bookings. The first for international youth bible i-D, collaborating on their popular A-Z series and another for Vogue.com, which featured global Canadian songbird Celine Dion wearing a selection of looks from the Fall 2017 Haute Couture collections, in what many dubbed the most exciting fashion film of the year!
